It’s hard. We know. But we also know it’s possible.  Women for Sobriety offers recovery meetings led by trained peer facilitators. Through group discussion and community-building, our secular online and in-person meetings provide recovery strategies to support the development of emotional growth, self esteem and a healthy lifestyle. • We are an abstinence-based organization focused on helping women achieve sobriety. A 501(3)c nonprofit, we were founded in 1975 by Jean Kirkpatrick, PhD.

  • The New Life Program is based on the 13 Acceptance Statements. With a distinctly positive focus, the program provides the foundation for replacing destructive behavior with a powerful, new focus.

  • Our program gives women proven tools to help them transform destructive patterns into healthy habits. The WFS roadmap charts a new path toward a bright, sober future.

We’ve been there. We get it.

The opposite of addiction isn’t sobriety, it’s connection. Our vibrant online community WFS Online — is a password-protected website where women engage with others in groups reflecting their stage of life, professional affinity or identity. Here you will find unconditional support standing on the knowledge that we know what this path looks like and, together, we can help one another realize the life we were all meant to live. Access is free.
